SPORTS
Alternatively to the moments of relaxation and tranquillity that you
can enjoy in the farmhouse, in the swimming pool
(Mts. 16.00 x 7.50 ), that is surrounded by green forests, the farmhouse
staff organise
long walks through the century old forests or in the green meadows
to look for the black truffles of Valnerina or
delicious mushrooms.
In the neighbourhood you can practise sports like trekking, rafting
mountain biking canyoning, horse and mule
riding.
In the waters of Nera, which flows in the valley you can practise for sport only , or try to fish the prestigious Fario trout.

The Valnerina
History, tradition culture, are expression of a
nature sometime wild and extreme, sometimes rich and characterised
by the presence of man. The landscape alternates mountains to valley
and the deep woods of the Valley of the river Nera.
Castles and medieval towns, wonderful Romanesque churches
full of artistic treasures emerge unexpected from the luxurious
nature or just they lie with no memory like sentinels of green
dales.
At the gates of the Sibillini National Park in a nature
rich in protected flora and fauna, you can still find in the multitude
of the pieces of art spread all over the territory, the traces
of the great masters who worked in the biggest town of Umbria.
During all the year you can and take part in manifestations
and historical revocations some of which derive from ancient shepherds
and peasants’ traditions some from religion and medieval
Chilvary.
The great variety and richness of food and gastronomic
products is due to the folkloric traditions and
the integrity of the ecosystem, from the cheese of sheep to the hams,
from the
biological agriculture( farro ) to the fruits of the woods
(black truffles) to the game ( wild boar ) to river fishing (crayfish
and trout).
These are the main ingredients of the excellent
Umbrian
cooking, that you can taste in every town of the Nera
Valley: typical healthy plates, cohich follow the flowing of seasons
despite their
simplicity, will satisfy the most discerning and insatiable palates mouths.
